Ben Freakley is the Head of Mental Performance with the Toronto Blue Jays (MLB). He is the founder of Ready. Set. Resilient, a sport and performance psychology consultancy aimed at helping individuals and teams optimize performance. For more than 15 years, he has been helping individuals, athletes, teams, soldiers and businesses look at ways to perform better. Along the way, Ben has been a soccer coach at the PDL and NCAA Division I level, mental performance coach for special operations forces (75th Ranger Regiment) and general manager for a sports club with over 1100 members. He has consulted with over 20 NCAA teams, businesses, sport clubs and military units on leadership, culture and team dynamics. He is a national staff instructor with the United Soccer Coaches (USC) and presented at the 2017 USC Convention on: “Developing the Mindset of a Master Coach.” Ben holds masters’ degrees in Sport Psychology and Sport Management from Georgia Southern University where he was an NCAA Division I athlete. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from University of Western States with an emphasis in Positive Leadership. His professional interests include: mental toughness, coach development, team and organizational culture, high performance mindset and mindfulness training.
