Frank Hager '12 completed his first season back at his alma mater as the volunteer assistant coach of the Big Red in 2016, and he was promoted to assistant coach and recruiting coordinator shortly thereafter by head coach Dan Pepicelli.
A 2012 graduate from the College of Arts and Sciences with a bachelor's degree in economics, Hager returned to the program he helped lead to the Ivy League Championship during his senior season. He started all 47 games at first base for the Big Red in its championship season, leading the team with 15 doubles to push his career total to 40 doubles — which ranks second in program history. Hager went 4-for-12 (.333) with a pair of doubles and three RBIs over the three-game Ivy League Championship Series against Dartmouth. Hager was also named to the College Sports Information Directors Association’s Academic All-District 1 Baseball Team in 2012.
