See What Coaches, Presenters, Exhibitors and Sponsors Are Saying about the World Baseball Coaches’ Convention...

"I always look forward to the Mohegan Sun World Baseball Coaches’ Convention. It energizes me for the season. Every January, I pick up more than just a couple of things that make me better as a coach. It’s never easy to improve the greatest game on the planet, but it sure is fun trying."

"It was a great opportunity as a first-year head coach to learn from the best in the business, as well as to connect with old coaches and teammates, and meet new people. I think the variety of coaches and levels represented was tremendous and made for both interesting and informative presentations that can absolutely be translated into my own program."

Tom Frederick
Varsity Baseball Coach

"I’ve had the privilege of presenting multiple times at the World Baseball Coaches Convention. But I don’t only go to speak; I also attend to learn, as this is one of the premier events on the baseball calendar. The lineup of baseball personnel from all levels of the game is second to none and their willingness to share their knowledge of and passion for the game had helped me beyond measure. I have literally taken countless things I’ve learned from sitting in the crowd at Mohegan Sun directly into our Minor League system with the Red Sox.  The Convention’s organizers run a first class event in every respect, and I can’t wait for next year’s edition,  joining so many like-minded baseball people who can’t wait for the season to get going."

Darren Fenster
Outfield & Baserunning Coordinator
Boston Red Sox

"I love the World Baseball Coaches’ Convention! I leave the clinic mentally exhausted... go home, decompress, and then start reviewing my notes for the upcoming season."

Eric Godin
Varsity Baseball Coach
Middletown High School – Rhode Island

Cant wait

It is with sadness and an appreciation for a life well-lived that we announce that our friend, event partner, community-minded volunteer, and enthusiastic baseball fan Paul Sturges passed away on May 25. Paul was a proud member of the Mohegan Tribe (his tribal name was G’Michmikigwon – meaning "he who strengthens thee”) and he served on its Tribal Council. Paul loved the game of baseball. He supported local leagues financially, he coached at the grassroots level, he looked forward to the Mohegan Sun World Baseball & Softball Coaches’ Convention every year, and he genuinely enjoyed being around the game. He also served on the Connecticut Sports Foundation Against Cancer Board (now the Connecticut Cancer Foundation). Most of all, he loved his family very much and was incredibly proud of them. We honor Paul and know his legacy will live on through the many causes, community organizations and individuals he touched during his life. Calling hours/visitation for Paul will take place on Saturday, June 8, at Montville Funeral Home from 10am to 12noon, followed by a graveside service at 12:30pm at Fort Shantok Burial Grounds. Our thoughts are with Paul's family at this difficult time. Here is a link to Paul's obituary, which includes memorial donation information: www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/theday/name/paul-sturges-obituary?id=55257205 ... See MoreSee Less
