Building on the momentum of past presentations by Hall of Famers Cal Ripken, Jr, and Gary Carter as well as thought-provoking presentations by Dwight Evans, Joe Girardi and Bobby Valentine, the 2007 Mohegan Sun World Baseball Coaches' Convention set new event attendance records and featured Baseball Legend and current Yankees Hitting Coach Don Mattingly, ESPN Baseball Analyst and Former MLB General Manager Steve Phillips, former Detroit Tigers Hitting Coach Don Slaught, Toronto Blue Jays' Coaches Mickey Brantley and Brad Arnsberg, Toronto Blue Jays All-Star Closer B.J. Ryan, Turtle Thomas (now Head Coach at Florida International University), Kevin O'Sullivan (now Head Coach at the University of Florida) and Tennessee's Rod Delmonico among others presenting to over 1,000 baseball coaches on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
